Disneyland with Dad

This week has been full of fun days with Dad during his down week in between shows. We've all had lots of fun but Dad hasn't had much rest. The best day by far was our day at Disneyland with Dad and our friends,Peter and Michelle and their son Gavin (who is Molly's best bud). Here are some photos from our day, I think the highlight for Molly was meeting Pooh Bear for the first time. She also got to see her hero, Buzz Lightyear, in person during the parade. The best moment of the day for me was when Eric pointed out that Molly had her arm around Gavin during the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, she didn't move her arm the entire ride, it was the sweetest thing to watch. It makes me so happy that her life is filled with wonderful friendships so early in life. The look of pure joy on her face when she is with her friend Gavin is just priceless.

First pony ride

Molly has almost tried pony rides on three other occasions but never had the courage to go through with it. This weekend, however, at the Culver City fair she hopped right on without any hesitation and rode like a genuine cowgirl. She really enjoyed it and wasn't scared a bit.
She enjoyed another first that day too - first Ferris Wheel ride! (Mom didn't go because she was too scared.) Molly liked the view from way up high.

She also rode the "jaunty jalopy" but she was too short for most other rides, even if Dad was holding her. Boooo! Oh well, there's always Disneyland tomorrow! The answer is, yes, she is spoiled. Dad has a few days off between jobs though so it's a family affair along with two of her best friends.

peek-a-booty

We've had these pictures for a few weeks and finally decided they were just too cute to keep to ourselves. She was outside without a diaper (obviously) and posed like a pro when Daddy directed her. Not that we want her to make a profession out of posing with her bum hanging out but still...

Shutterbug

You knew it was only a matter of time. She couldn't spend that much of her life in front of the camera without wanting to get behind it. We looked up and saw that she had found Daddy's camera and was pretending to take pictures with it. Precious. She knows exactly how it works too. Time to get her a play camera of her own I guess. Holding Daddy's was nerve-wracking but Dad held it together long enough for Mom to take a few shots.

Say "cheese" Mom!

Molly checks her shots.

Just like Mommy

Molly has become quite the copycat of everything Mom does. When she saw Mom had her hair in pig tails she insisted on the same thing. They actually stayed in for a decent amount of time which is rare. That's our little Sugar Pop!

Lemonvision

Just some cute pictures of Molly and Mom. We've been having such great weekends lately. Molly is in a great mood. Her terrible twos only lasted about 2 weeks. Not that she doesn't have her moments but she listens to reason quite well and respects the "time out". The instructors in her music class are great and have taken to giving her nicknames. The best one is "Molly Beetner - needs no sweetener" We couldn't agree more.

Double in less than a week!

Molly has hit double digits on her potty chart with her 10th sticker arriving this morning after another dry night. Last night before bath time she did it exactly right - she held herself and told me she had to go so we rushed to the potty and she did it. This is great progress. Last night when we were reading Go, Dog! Go! (Grandpa's sweet revenge!) she said her first three-word sentence too. "Dog in house." She said it unprompted by me so she really understood what she was saying. Once again we're so proud of our (big) girl. Now slow down kid! We love you just the way you are.

Two in a row!

Molly added a FIFTH sticker to her potty chart this morning. Two days in a row she woke up dry and then sat on the potty (yes, for a long time but still...) until she heard that tinkle sound and proudly placed another sticker on her chart. She's getting to be such a big girl. I need to take some new video to show all the new things she is doing including a lot more talking. I'll skip the potty video though. You're welcome.
