It's hard to believe it's been two years since the first day Molly was placed in our arms and we became a family. Molly pushed Mom away the first time she was placed in her arms but it only took her a few hours to decide she would trust us. As Molly says now when she talks about Gotcha Day, " When Mom and Dad come to China and I can't know you I push you away, I don't push you away anymore."
All three of these videos were taken on that very first day. Even the bedtime one is only about 4 hours after we met. Molly loves watching these videos almost as much as we do!

Molly's Birthday Party Photos

Walking the Red Carpet

Molly's party was a big hit! She and all her friends had a great time with Princess Aurora and Mom survived the prep and clean-up of the big day. Special thanks to Grandpa who spent all his time entertaining Molly so Mom could spend time baking and setting up for the party. Not that we had to twist Grandpa's arm, he seemed trilled to have Molly sit on his lap all day while he read her story after story until she finally fell asleep in his lap, just priceless.

More Gracie!!!
We got some new photos of Gracie tonight! They look so much like sisters, don't they? No idea what she's chewing on. Do we have another foodie in the family?
Remember this look. When she is smiling and laughing with her big sister and the joy just beams out of her like it does now with Molly this rather sad expression will seem a million miles away.

In addition to the pictures below you didn't think that Eric would go to Molly's first dance recital and not capture it on video?

no stage fright for our girl
Molly had her first dance recital on Sunday! She was so excited to get on stage and did a great job trying to follow along with her Teacher Taylor during her class's performance. Molly loves dance class and making new friends and this is the first completely independent class that she has taken without Mom or Dad in the room. From day one she ran into class, made new friends and followed the teacher's direction and seldom gets distracted. On Molly's first day of class I asked her if she liked the class and she told me, "I want to dance here all day long Mama." I think Eric and I have a lot of recitals in our future.

It scares me just a little how much Molly loves the camera and loves to pose. This was all her and she was not directed by her Dad in the slightest.

The best view of the theater . . . all the proud parents trying to catch every moment of their little one's big moment.

It's hard to believe that not too long ago Molly was clinging to my leg and wouldn't walk away to play with the other kids. Now she is a confident, independent, almost three year old who is more than ready to start preschool next month. We never thought we would get here but here we are and she knows Mom and Dad always come back!
