Molly's first dress, made by Mom

Molly's doll, modeling the first dress that I knit for our girl.

I can't wait to see it on Molly!

I also made the little ladybug pillow that she is leaning on.

I recently learned to knit and the lavender blanket and hat in this photo were the first items that I made for Molly.

When I was a little girl both of my grandmothers hand knit or sewed much of my wardrobe. I may not have fully appreciated the love that went into making those adorable clothes when I was a kid but now, when I look at the old photos and see myself in outfits made by one of my grandmothers, I remember them and how much I was loved.

With every blanket or dress that I make for Molly, my love for her grows, and I feel that much closer to her. I know she is without a Mommy to hold her right now but I am here and soon she will be wrapped in this lavender blanket and my love.

Molly's loveseat

This is where we plan on having lots of story and cuddle time . . .

Molly's changing table and book case

Working on Molly's book collection . . . a girl can never have too many books!

Molly's room, almost ready . . . waiting for Molly

Well all the furniture has arrived and only the small details are left to finish Molly's room. So much love has gone into planning every detail of our girl's room. She is on the other side of the world waiting and soon we will go and bring her home to this perfect room that waits just for her. Until that day, sitting in her room lets us feel a little closer to our girl.

My Friend, My Love, My Strength

This photo was taken in the exact spot that Eric and I were married in September of 2000. It was great to visit the Highlands Inn again, such a beautiful view, with even more beautiful memories of our special day.

The last few years that have brought us to Molly have not been easy. It has been physically, emotionally and financially challenging but we have come out of it stronger than ever. I am so grateful for the friendship and love that we share. Eric held my hand and let me crumble when I needed to and when it was time, helped me to go on when I thought I could not. Our difficult journey has only brought us closer. We are so lucky to have each other and soon Molly will make us even luckier.
