Little jumping bean

Molly was in a jumping mood the other day. She went back again and again to jump off this little wall into the sand at the park right by our house. She shows little or no fear which DOES scare Mom and Dad. So far she hasn't hurt herself (knock wood). Look out for when she starts taking gymnastics classes.

Still the happiest girl in town

Here is a selection of some new pictures of Molly. She is such a ham for the camera and Daddy just eats it up and shoots a ton. I love that her joy comes shining through. She makes us smile every day but even more than that she makes her self smile.

If you ever doubted the power of chemistry

Molly and her friend Gavin continue to amaze us all. If you ever doubted the power of chemistry between two people then just take a look at the slide show and you will doubt no more. It is seldom that they go more than a day between seeing each other and have a blast when ever they are together. They really interact when they are together and neither of them seem to play this endlessly with anyone else. Recently Gavin gave Molly a pillow for her crib and tonight at bedtime when she was being tucked in she said, "tuck Gavin" and hugged the pillow tight under the covers. So so cute. How wonderful for her to have someone that brings so much happiness into her life!

Tea Party with Minnie

Since our last trip to Disneyland there have been several times that Molly has grabbed Minnie Mouse and run to the front door pointing and saying, "more ride more ride." My compromise the last time this happened was a tea party with Minnie complete with Disney Princess Graham Cookies which made it a real treat. Molly was very excited when Minnie didn't eat her cookie and I told her she could have it. The Tea Set was a gift from Nana G and this was the first time we used it because I was nervous about it breaking. Molly and I had a chat about how special it was and that it was very breakable and she was very careful. I was amazed and proud at how gentle she was with it. She loved having tea with Minnie and I look forward to our next tea party which may be today since Molly has a bit of a cold and we will be staying home all day.

Molly being a prefect host to her tea guest Minnie.

Yes, we get it, she's spoiled. All right already.

If Molly sees that Mom has done her nails she really wants to be a part of the action. Marie is getting to be a decent manicurist and Molly is a very patient client. How long they last is another story.

Charity begins at home

Molly started a tradition this week - giving to charity. We packed up some of her old stuffed animals and some books and sent them off to an organization called Project Night Night. I'm not sure how much Molly really got it but she loved putting the box in the car and going to the post office. We plan for this to become something she does regularly. We have already sent some of the clothes she has outgrown to a local charity called Baby2Baby. Hopefully if we start her early it will become a regular routine that she enjoys so she can share some of her good fortune.

Sleeping Beauty

Molly and I went to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood yesterday to see Sleeping Beauty. We had breakfast at the Disney's Soda Fountain before the movie where Molly had a waffle in the shape of Mickey's face ( which for the record was exciting until we cut it up and then she kept crying Mickey! Mickey! Mickey!).

The real excitement for Molly was meeting Princess Aurora and getting her picture taken with her.

There is also a Disney Studio Store in the restaurant so we couldn't leave empty handed. Molly got her first musical jewelry box and a Buzz Lightyear phone. Molly is fascinated with her new musical jewelry box and just sits and smiles as she watches Princess Aurora twirl and the music play

The Theater is a beautiful, magical place to see a movie with a child. Molly sat up in surprise when Princess Aurora came out on stage to dance and introduce the movie. Then the streamers fell from the sky and the glittery curtains pulled back and the movie started. Molly was the youngest child at the movie and once again sat through the whole thing with out looking away. There were a few times when the dragon and the "Boo Bad" (as Molly calls all things bad or scary) evil fairy Maleficent were on screen that Molly sat on my lap and covered her eyes.

After the movie we walked around the Hollywood and Highland Mall did some shopping and had lunch together. Once again Molly amazed a waiter with her mature pallet when she shared the Seafood Crepe with me and ate all the Seafood. I got the veggies and she got ALL the seafood. I even had to order a side of ham for her because she was still hungry and she ate all of that too.

Just another amazing day with my girl, I treasure them all!
