Big Day

Happy Birthday Molly Xiaomei Beetner. You are one year old today and this is the last birthday you will spend without Mom and Dad by your side. Hopefully you got the cake we sent to you and enjoyed it with your friends in Dianbai. Good news, baby! Your plane ticket arrived. It has your name on it and everything. Bai Xiaoxiao going from Guangzhou to L.A. It is nearly midnight here so that means one more week and we'll be taking off across that big ocean to come and get you. Your Nana G and Grandpa John brought you a present. A panda bear. I know you already have one but just look at the size of this one!!!! You can give him honest to goodness bear hugs.
We miss you Molly. We stare at your pictures all the time and every night before we go to sleep we both say "Wa'an Xiaomei" (goodnight little beauty) There is so much more to say to you but I guess it will have to wait. Just know that it will start with "We love you" and go on and on from there.
It's a big week ahead of preparing and fighting the nerves and anticipation. I know you are just going about your business as usual all the way over in China but when you feel a funny little tickle in your tummy next Friday - that's Mom and Dad coming to get you to wrap you up in hugs and kisses for the rest of your life.
