When we came back to the hotel we went out walking on our own for lunch and wandered into a cute place. There was a little boy there and he was intrigued with Molly also. He kept walking over to our table. I told him he would have to fight Brooks Novak for the honor of Molly's hand so he became only her "China boyfriend". (his family thought this was quite funny when I said in my really bad Chinese "nan pengyou" ( boyfriend). The first of many hearts she is sure to break. This boy will grow into a man and always have an empty place in his soul for the mysterious little girl he met in the noodle shop. In the end we made friends and took a picture together. Another day full of smiles and giggles. We still can't believe she is ours and we are hers.

Don't think you can tell but she is reading a magazine in our hotel called China Today. Her grasp of the socioeconomic issues
important to today's global economy and especially those of the emerging capitalist model in modern day China is really quite stunning. If she weren't going to already be a famous actress/model/violinist/gold medal olympian then I would say she should go into economics.
